General Counselling
Using evidence-based psychological approaches, I offer counselling, psychoeducation, and symptom management training to address your general mental health needs. Whether you are seeking help to navigate a period of low mood, stress, or anxiety, or you are feeling overwhelmed by the demands on your mind, body, or time, I am here to help. Counselling may be used to address life’s challenges, to facilitate change, or to enhance your experience in one or more areas of your life. Counselling can be especially helpful if you are feeling stuck or searching for a fresh perspective on your mental health.
My approach to counselling is informed by training and experience with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Prolonged Exposure for trauma and PTSD (PE), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), as well as other therapeutic approaches.
